Where to Stay?
We are excited to be having a very Seattle wedding, and in the summer, no less! Although the events throughout the weekend will be taking place in different areas of the city, they are all relatively close to one another. Our ceremony will be at the Olympic Sculpture Park near the Seattle waterfront, with a party later in the Fremont neighborhood at Nectar Lounge. Other weekend festivities will be around Lake Union and Portage Bay—below are some areas and hotels we recommend based on neighborhoods:
Seattle Waterfront
Great for easy access to the waterfront, Olympic Sculpture Park and Pike Place Market.
Recommended Hotels:
The Edgewater Hotel (right on the waterfront!)
Hotel Crocodile (quirky spot in Belltown above the iconic music venue The Crocodile and VERY close to ceremony)
Inn at the Market (the only hotel located in Pike Place Market)
Fremont
Walkable and fun neighborhood where the party venue, The Nectar is located. Limited hotel options, but a great area for Airbnb/Vrbo’s.
Recommended Stays:
Hotel Hotel Hostel in Fremont (5 minute walk to the Nectar)
Staybridge Suites in Fremont (right off a busy street but a 20 minute walk to The Nectar)
Airbnb or Vrbo
Lake Union / South Lake Union
Convenient to all weekend events with lake views, restaurants and the MOHAI.
Recommended Hotels:
Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Lake Union (close to the Schechter’s)
Silver Cloud Hotel – Lake Union
Moxy Seattle - South Lake Union
Ballard / Queen Anne / Wallingford
Residential neighborhoods with fun main drags close to Lake Union and Fremont
Recommended Stays:
Airbnb or VRBO are great options for all 3 of these neighborhoods
Hotel Ballard - Boutique Hotel next to Ballard’s main drag with guest access to the Olympic Athletic Club
Ballard Inn - Cute Inn with 16 rooms located next to Ballard’s main drag
MarQueen Hotel - Boutique Hotel located in Uptown Queen Anne, close to KEXP, Climate Pledge Arena, and Seattle Center
